Ever since releasing their latest single “She’s Kinda Hot,” 5 Seconds of Summer has been hard at work juggling touring North America on their Rock Out With Your Socks Out tour and tons of press. Lucky for us, some outlets ask the real hard-hitting questions that everyone wants to know.
Exhibit A: When Access Hollywood met up with the lads, the question “What is your [sic] idea of a perfect girl?” from Twitter user @infinityluke96 came up.
Luke Hemmings answered, “Someone that likes the band would be nice” because of how much time the boys spend time together–not necessarily meaning having to jam out to every single 5SOS song (but really, who doesn’t do that?). He quipped, “That’s hard to find, someone that likes these three dudes.”
We can think of quite a few people who’d argue that, but sure, Luke.
Bassist Calum Hood jumped in, agreeing, “You’ve gotta kind of find someone that can put up with the rest of the band really.”
When said band, including Ashton Irwin and Michael Clifford to complete the foursome, is constantly touring the world or living in a house together in Los Angeles to write an album, on top of being school friends and sharing mutual friends at home, it seems like a good standard to maintain. We’ll give them that.
