Lewis Aaron Ritchie, a beloved member of the Concord community, passed away on October 4, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication. Born on July 10, 1962, in Charlotte to Sam and Carolyn Ritchie, Aaron's life was filled with remarkable achievements and cherished relationships.
A Multifaceted Entrepreneur and Community Leader
Aaron was a man of many talents and accomplishments. As the owner of Benchmark Masonry LLC and the Power Wash Store in Charlotte, he showcased his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to excellence. Additionally, Aaron served as a valued member of the Harrisburg Town Council, the Cabarrus County Planning and Zoning board, and as President of the Georgeville Volunteer Fire Department Board. His contributions to the community were invaluable, and his leadership will be greatly missed.
A Passion for Collecting and Family
Beyond his professional endeavors, Aaron had a passion for collecting International antique tractors and guns, showcasing his appreciation for history and craftsmanship. However, above all else, Aaron cherished his role as a loving husband, father, son, grandpaw, and brother. His family meant the world to him, and his love and support knew no bounds.
A Farewell to Remember
The family will be receiving friends at Hopewell Baptist Church, Legacy Campus, on Monday, October 9, 2023, from 1:00 pm to 2:15 pm. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm, officiated by Rev. Brian Austin, Rev. Dale Brooks, and Rev. Lee Pigg. Aaron will be laid to rest in the church cemetery, surrounded by the love and memories of those who knew him.

Aaron leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold him in their hearts. He is survived by his beloved wife, Dana Ritchie of Concord; his father, Sam Lewis Ritchie of Midland; his children, Amber (Alec) Thomas, Jonathan (Sherry) Ritchie, Benjamin (Anna) Ritchie, Adam (Rebekah) Newsome, Alex (Ashley) Newsome, Blaine (Mary) Newsome, and Steven (Amber) Brown; his grandchildren, Taylor Ritchie, Georgia and Eve Newsome, Reily, Sophia, and Chase Barnhardt; his brother, Arnold Ritchie; his sister, Becky (Mike) Blevins; and his niece, Christie Ritchie.
