Steve certainly wasn’t happy about the news that Orpheus had scored a full pardon from the governor.

Steve knows that, so he can only anticipate the next round of danger and destruction.
That’s why Steve recently pitched the idea of eliminating Orpheus during a conversation with John Black (Drake Hogestyn).
Murder may seem extreme, but Steve is desperate to protect the people he loves and will become even more desperate soon enough.
Orpheus already tossed some threats around regarding Steve’s children, but now Kayla’s going to face a little Orpheus trouble of her own.
During the week of August 15-19, Days spoilers say Orpheus will have an unsettling present to pass along.
Whether Orpheus delivers that gift himself or just sends it, Days spoilers say Steve’s going to freak.
It doesn’t really even matter what the gift is since the gift-giver will be so upsetting.
There’s no reason for Orpheus to be giving Kayla anything at all, so Steve will no doubt assume Orpheus is taunting him and plotting his next strategy.
Since Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) will return to Salem soon after Orpheus’ present shows up, it’s possible there’ll be a connection.
Orpheus knows Steve’s kids are in Seattle, so there’s a chance he’ll secretly summon Stephanie as part of his plan.
Whatever the case, Steve will then have even more of a motive to want Orpheus gone for good!
Perhaps Steve will revisit his murder suggestion and once again push John to get on board before Orpheus does real harm to their loved ones.
